Last minute extension of ADA pool lift regs

The efforts of CLIA and ILIA to communicate with the DOJ regarding the implementation of the ADA Standards for Accessible Design for swimming pools and spas paid off today when the DOJ issued a 60 day extension of the regulation enforcement.

Attorney General Eric Holder has also called for a period of public comment on the possibility of a longer period of time for pool owners and operators to comply with the regulations.

We will continue to update members on our progress in working with the DOJ and other organizations on this vital issue.
