Helpful PCI Tips for 2013
brought to you by APS, American Payment Solutions
Published on 2/18/13

Check to see if your merchant level or processing

method has changed -If the number of payment

card transactions you process or the way in which

you process credit cards has changed, it can affect

your merchant level, which may result in changes to

your PCI compliance requirements

Look up the SAQ / onsite assessment you completed last year - You are required to submit a new Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) / onsite

assessment every year and should make it a

practice to complete a new one before the old one

Ensure that PCI requirements are completed on

time. Quarterly scans of your external facing IPs

are required to maintain your PCI compliance

status -Perform these scans at set intervals and

resolve any issues that may be found before your

next PCI assessment due date

Find out where all your cardholder data is hiding You should use card data scanning software on all

shared resources and local machines -American

Payment Solutions provides a software that will

scan your hard-drive for any existing card data, and

allow you to redact that information

Call American Payment Solutions today to see how

we can help - Many processors charge a monthly

PCI compliance fee. At American Payment Solutions

we believe PCI compliance should be free. We offer

a comprehensive PCI service completely free of

charge to our merchants. No annual PCI fees, no

monthly PCI fees, no hidden PCI fees.
